War Information
Liora supports player conflict through the SiegeWar system.
SiegeWar works alongside Towny to allow towns and nations to fight for territory in organized wars.
Conflict is expected and encouraged when it serves political or strategic goals.
Victory in war depends on preparation, alliances, leadership, and coordinated combat.
What is SiegeWar?
SiegeWar is the warfare system used on Liora for territorial conflict.
Through SiegeWar, towns and nations may attempt to capture or weaken rival settlements.
Wars occur through Sieges.
A siege is a structured battle where attackers attempt to capture a town while defenders attempt to protect it.
These conflicts typically involve:
- Large PvP battles
- Strategic positioning
- Alliances between towns and nations
- Long-term political rivalry
How Sieges Work
A siege begins when an attacking town or nation declares a siege against another town.
Once started, a battle begins around a siege banner located near the town.
Players fight around the banner to gain control.
The side controlling the banner advances their progress toward victory.
Siege Camps
Attackers must establish a Siege Camp.
The siege camp acts as the command center for the attacking force.
The camp allows attackers to:
- Maintain the siege
- Coordinate attacks
- Reinforce the battle
Defenders may attempt to destroy the siege camp to weaken the attackers.
Protecting the camp is critical for a successful siege.
Banner Control
The siege banner is the central objective of every battle.
Players fight near the banner to control it.
- When attackers control the banner, the siege progresses toward capture.
- When defenders control the banner, they push the siege toward failure.
Most battles revolve around controlling the banner during the siege window.
Attacking a Town
Attackers must organize carefully before launching a siege.
Successful attacking forces usually:
- Bring well-equipped fighters
- Coordinate with allied towns
- Secure supply lines
- Control the banner area
- Protect the siege camp
Large sieges often involve multiple towns working together.
Defending a Town
Defending players must protect their territory and prevent attackers from controlling the siege banner.
Defenders may:
- Push attackers away from the banner
- Destroy siege camps
- Call allied nations for assistance
- Organize defensive formations
Fast response and coordination are essential to successful defense.
Siege Outcomes
A siege ends when one side achieves victory or when the siege timer expires.
Possible outcomes include:
Attacker Victory
- The attacking side captures the town
- Territory may change control
Defender Victory
- The defending town successfully repels the siege
Expired Siege
- Neither side secures victory before the siege period ends

War Strategy
Successful warfare requires more than strong fighters.
Important strategic elements include:
- Diplomatic alliances
- Resource supply chains
- Territory positioning
- Timing attacks carefully
- Coordinated leadership
Wars are often won through preparation rather than brute force.
Diplomacy & Politics
Not all conflicts are solved through battle.
Many wars are avoided through diplomacy.
Common political strategies include:
- Trade alliances
- Mutual defense agreements
- Territorial treaties
- Non-aggression pacts
Politics often determine the balance of power across the world.
Conflict shapes borders. Strategy shapes history.
